BE play live at St Marys Church Nottingham

On 16th and 17th December 2016, BE will play their critically acclaimed album ONE plus preview new material recorded with the Nottingham honey bees and St. Mary's Church Choir. The sounds and vibrations from over 40,000 honey bees will be live streamed into St. Mary's Church from a local beehive in Brackenhurst, Nottinghamshire. The renowned St. Mary's Choir will be accompanying BE throughout the whole performance. A state of the art 3D surround sound system has been commissioned for these performances, visual imagery from The Hive project will be projected onto the musicians and the church.

Wolfgang Buttress is working with renowned perfumiers and candle makers Haeckels to create an installation which will illuminate the performance and fill the space with the smell and essence of the church gardens. These special limited edition candles will be available from  www.haeckels.co.uk and from St. Mary's Church, Nottingham. More BE information from www.beeandman.com

'One' is the soundtrack to artist Wolfgang Buttress' multiple award-winning UK Pavilion at the 2015 Milan EXPO - an installation that highlighted the plight of the honey bee, focusing on the importance of pollination. The music on the record is a constantly changing and evolving symphony - the sound of a dialogue between bee and human.

BE are performing at St Mary's Church, Lace Market, Nottingham on the 16th and 17th December 2016. Tickets are still available for the performances here as well as in store at Rough Trade Nottingham and St Mary's Church itself.
